About Us

A small, focused tool for answering one question: does every key on this keyboard still work?

What this is

This is a browser-based keyboard tester. You choose a layout, press keys, and each one lights up as the browser receives it. Anything that stays grey is a key that never reported.

It is deliberately narrow in scope. There is no account to create, nothing to install, and no upsell — you open the page, run your test, and close the tab.

Why the layouts are drawn carefully

A tester is only useful if the board on screen matches the board under your hands. You pick the character layout — QWERTY, QWERTZ or AZERTY — and the form factor, and each is built to the real physical key count and to real key widths. A full-size ANSI board shows 104 keys, its ISO counterpart 105, a tenkeyless 87, and a 60% shows the Escape key where it actually lives rather than a backtick.

Keys that a browser can never see — Fn, Touch ID, most vendor media keys — are drawn for visual accuracy but excluded from the totals. That way a working keyboard can genuinely reach 100%, instead of stalling at 98% and leaving you wondering what you missed.

How we handle your data

Key presses are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted, stored or logged. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts.

The only feature that sends anything anywhere is the contact form, and only when you choose to submit it.
